What kind of generator is the Geneforce?
The Geneforce is a gas-free generator for indoors. It does not emit harmful gases and, thus, it is safe for indoor use. The device is silent, portable and it does not require maintenance or installation
What is the difference between the models?
Each Geneforce unit has a different amount of energy storage capacity. The larger the model number, the more capacity to store energy. The Geneforce models are numbered by the amount of amperage contained within each unit. If you multiply the Geneforce model numbers by 12 volts you can obtain the total amount of wattage stored within the gas-free generators. For example, the GEN-400 has 4,800 watts inside (400 amps x 12 v. = 4,800watts). The GEN-840 has 10,080 watts inside (840 amps x 12 v. = 10,080watts).
How is it powered?
It contains a cell that stores energy and has been utilized in the medical field for the last eight years after legislation was passed requiring operating rooms to have safe generators.
How does it work?
The Geneforce comes with a standard wall outlet plug. Simply plug the Geneforce into the wall outlet at your home or business and the unit will sense when the electricity has been turned off, and any appliance connected to the hospital grade outlets on the Geneforce will automatically start within one second or an on/off button is located on the superior portion of the unit.
How long will it last and how long does it take to recharge?
The GEN-400 powered a home for 3.5 days that was using a small refrigerator, 26” flat screen TV, a DVD player, phone charger, computer and 4 fluorescent lamps. After the 3.5 days it only took about 3.5 hours to recharge the unit. Please view our detailed spec sheets that detail each models capacity and running time.
How can it be recharged?
The Geneforce can be recharged four different ways. First, when the electricity returns it will automatically begin recharging through the input plug connected to the wall outlet. Second, it can be recharged with your vehicle. Third, it can be recharged quickly with a gas generator. Lastly, it can be recharged with a portable Solar Panel that can be placed in the balcony, patio or backyard. The Solar Panels come with A 25’ cable that can be connected directly unto the Geneforce and it will use the Sun to recharge the Geneforce as it is being used.
How long will the Geneforce last with a Solar Panel?
For instance, if one 123 watt Solar Panel was connected for eight hours a day to the GEN-400 mentioned in the example above, then the unit would last for 11.8 days instead of 3.5 days because the panels recharge the unit while it is being used.
Who makes the Solar Panels?
The Solar panels come in two different capacities; 80 watt and 123 watt. The solar Panels are manufactured by Sharp and they work in any type of weather condition. Also, they have a 25 year warranty and are weather resistant. The Panels weigh about 25-35 lbs and can be placed on a stand (“rack”) that can be moved into and out of a home or business.
What appliances can be powered with the Geneforce?
Geneforce can power most 120 volt household appliances, etc… At the moment it will not power a washer/dryer, central air conditioning or oven, because those appliances operate on a 220 volt system
What is the maintenance and lifespan of a Geneforce?
The Geneforce is a maintenance free system with a lifespan of 7-10 years. If the Geneforce is discharged 20% of the time on every use, it will have a lifespan of 2,000 uses. If the Geneforce is discharged 50% on every use then the unit will have a lifespan of 1,300 uses. Similarly, if the Geneforce is discharged to 100% on every use then it will have a lifespan on 270 uses. Most Geneforce owners only utilize the device to 2-3 times per year.
